1 Entrance (Outside)

There is a small shrine outside the entrance. There are some rotting mushrooms on and around it. The entire area is heavily flooded, knee deep in places.

• There are deep blue mushrooms growing scattered throughout the flooded areas.
• The shrine has a small wooden sign which shows through pictures how to give the offerings (think IKEA instructions). Another wooden sign lists a few plants that can be used (blue mushroom for breathing, glowing mushroom for seeing in the dark, coffee bean for waking up)
• If the PCs search well enough, they will find the hole that Gyōki dug to drain the temple. It is narrow, enough only for a mouse without armor. It will take 12 rounds to get to the spring leakage room.

1 Entrance (Inside)

• Inside the arch is a small, dark cave. Slime tracks everywhere makes it a very sticky place. The slime tracks all eventually lead into the well.
• There are intricate carvings in the wall. Some of the carvings are of the slugs. There is also a little mural of people throwing things into the well (treasure, weapons, etc. It’s not indicated on the wall, but it’s done for good luck, to atone for bad behavior so the slugs will favor them, general respect for the slugs etc).
• The only thing here is the well. The water is fairly clear but it’s pitch black. PCs will not be able to see into it at all.

2 Well

• Pitch black. PCs must dive down in absolute darkness. All rooms below will be pitch black unless otherwise indicated. Roll WIL save or get the Frightened condition. In this situation, having the Frightened condition means you will return to the surface ASAP.
• It takes 3 rounds to get to the first opening. Any mouse can swim 3 rounds with no penalty. After the third round they must either turn back or roll a STR safe. If they fail they take d4 strength damage (but don’t pass out). Each additional round roll a higher denomination of dice. See @Mechanics
• 5 rounds to get into the room

3 Breathing Room

• Small platform is easy to climb onto.
• Hungry slug. Will attack if PCs do not attempt to give it food.

4 Seeing Room

• No solid platform to stand on. What looks to be vines (but are actually webs) are just out of reach.
• Room is lit by mushrooms growing from the ceiling. The ceiling thus is quite well lit and the light passes down about halfway through the webs.
• d6 glow worms climbing on webs hinder access to mushrooms.
• d6 fungus flies dimly fly around and do 1 point of damage to mice climbing the web strands. They will not attack anyone not touching the webs.

5a Sanctuary

• Stairs lead up out of the water and into the room.
• In the center of the room is a shrine similar to the one outside the temple. There is a mat woven from seaweed in front of the shrine.
• The little side rooms are filled with various mushrooms?
• Rocks and dust are scattered around haphazardly around the room (this is from a sloppy cleaning up job after digging the pit in 5b)

5b Pit

• The seaweed mat is covering a hole. In the hole is a priest (frog) named Gyōki. His leg is inured so he can’t jump. He can see quite well in the dark.
• The hole is about 15cm deep.

6 Spring Leakage Room

This room is clearly unfinished. The ceiling isn’t very high or smooth and it isn’t fully dug out in any direction. On the right wall is a hole which has a constant current of water flowing out from. Without some anchoring or assistance in some way, non-aquatic animals will not be able to fight against the current which is constantly flowing out of the room. Straight ahead is a hole that Gyōki dug to drain the water with (not drawn on the map but it goes all the way up to the surface outside.)

• No air, filled to the ceiling with water
• 10% chance 1d4 crayfish will be blown through hole. 10% chance another blind eel will be blown through
• Filling in the hole with the spring will stop the flow of water. It will eventually drain out through the hole Gyōki dug. This solves the problem and the water will drain out eventually, keep the new inhabitants at bay and allow the slugs to enter and leave the temple again.

7 Well Floor

This is the deepest part of the well and was full of water even before the flooding. Various treasures can be found down here due to years of people throwing things into the well (or falling in).

• Magic negating seaweed is down here. It was planted to keep people from using slime or magic to swim down there and loot all that was thrown in.
